Since the beginning of March, developers and SMEs had the chance to learn how to develop with FIWARE in FIWARE Developers’ Weeks, events organized by Telefónica and aiming to help developers start from scratch. Attendees could listen to the main FIWARE architects speaking about how this open technology allows to easily design and create smart mobile applications.

The first workshop, which gathered entrepreneurs, SMEs and startups, took place in the Universidad Politécnica de Madrid (UPM). This training event was opened by a speech by the FIWARE Coordinator and Chief Officer, Juanjo Hierro. Only a few weeks later, a second FIWARE Developers’ Week would take place in Brussels, where developers could also find Juanjo Hierro and the team of FIWARE experts. In just 4 days, participants attended both theoretical courses and did practical activities to learn how to build Future Internet applications. And while the FIWARE Developers’ Week was taking place, Brussels also hosted Net Futures 2015 Conference, where FIWARE Challenges were also organized.

In May 2015, another FIWARE Developers’ Week will take place in Vienna, where, once again, developers will learn how to make the most of Big Data, the Cloud, digital services, advanced 3D, APIs monetization or augmented reality, among others. But, if you cannot attend, you do not need to worry, because the previous FIWARE Developers' Weeks have been recorded and you can now wacth the presentations explaining the use of FIWARE, together with other materials that can make you start developing right now!
