During the last years, FIWARE set the goal to become the world leading Open Source technology for Smart Cities. Many countries today have a vivid FIWARE community, users groups and regular get-togethers to learn from each other, sharing of best-practises and sometimes even concrete use cases and developments. Austria is a successful example: they have been holding networking and community meetings for many years, while in Germany, there are dozens of FIWARE-based cities and even more interested in regularly having the chance to attend such in-person meetings. Several Austrian cities, FIWARE end-users, system integrators and those who just want to learn more about FIWARE have established years ago a lively FIWARE community meeting with a wide and successful outreach. In August 2022, this community celebrated its 10th meeting!
As Austria was 2022 partner country at the Smart County Convention, we came up with the the idea to organize a German speaking FIWARE Community Kick-off with its first founding meeting took place on October 19th in Berlin. The target of this get-together is to establish a network of common interest and to provide a platform for the exchange of experiences and solutions. We would be very pleased if you would like to take part in the meeting as a FIWARE user or interested party.
During event you can meet and hear our famous speakers and friends Brigitte Lutz, (City of Vienna), Bernhard Schmid, (Business Agency Vienna), Dr. Michael Prange (Professor of Data Science), who will share newscase of Kiel University of Applied Sciences: “FIWARE – Scalable data platform for intelligent infrastructures”.
Ulrich Ahle, CEO FIWARE Foundation will share the news from the Foundation, Data Spaces, etc.
Cristina Brandtstetter, Chief Marketing Officer of the FIWARE Foundatio will give us news about the FIWARE Summit in Vienna (12.-13. June 2023).
