Plug-In Sessions

In this session we report examples do public administrations and private companies contributing to digital transformation in the territory. The implementation of digital technologies in public and private organizational systems can raise service level standards and transparency, improve interactions with citizens, stimulate innovation, improve decision-making, increase development of smart solutions and services that have a positive impact in the territory.

We will be hosting an open culture and DevOps workshop  to learn how to collaborate to deliver and develop successful FIWARE projects. This workshop  has already been successfully delivered at the Digital Days 2023 in Vienna, Austria.

FIWARE has been supporting cities for many years to get their Smart City strategies off the ground. More than 350 cities in over 30 countries worldwide trust in using FIWARE technologies and with a global impact increasing day by day.  This time we reference 145 cities with more than 155 solutions in our book and more is still on our radar!

The objective of this session is to get acquainted with the current innovation ecosystems promoted by the Digital Europe Programme such as (E)DIHs, and learn how those actors can collaborate among each other. Digital Innovation Hubs and EDIHs acting as a one-stop-shop, are in a privileged position to understand the technology solutions developed by different projects, and to offer these solutions as part of their services for test-before-invest to their SMEs.

The FIWARE iHubs are innovation centres that promote the adoption of open source FIWARE platform technologies to support digitalisation, business development and leadership through community building, training, and educational activities. The main objective of the FIWARE iHubs network is to address the traditional barriers for business expansion of SMEs and large companies, by providing innovative technologies and an ecosystem that connects them to their target markets.

The objective of the Focus is to collect perspective, lesson learned and best practices as well as the (actual) performance in the projects. All the partners are of CEF projects invited to be part part of the Focus Group.

FIWARE iHubs focuses on matchmaking market solutions with internal challenges, accelerating the development, use and commercialization of FIWARE solutions, and nurturing a culture of digital innovation and collaboration at a local level. We understand that the driving force of the data economy is the collaboration between the many players in society, not just a single individual or company.

During this workshop, the FIWARE team will provide to the attendees an overview of the upcoming call in Horizon Europe and Digital Europe programs. Besides, we will organise a brainstorming session in groups to discuss embryonic ideas for proposals and exchange interest amongst participants to be part of joint consortiums.
