Open Culture & DevOps workshop for FIWARE projects

June 12, 2023 @ 5:00 pm6:00 pm CEST

We will be hosting an open culture and DevOps workshop  to learn how to collaborate to deliver and develop successful FIWARE projects. This workshop  has already been successfully delivered at the Digital Days 2023 in Vienna, Austria.

“DevOps requires a cultural change.” In a nutshell: Being more open, more collaborative, more customer-driven. But what does this mean in practice? What can organizations concretely do to trigger and progress this “cultural change”?

In fact, there is no secret sauce, no on-off-switch to push. It’s many little steps and practices that do the trick. This workshop provides an overview about the cornerstones of these cultural shift and let participants experience some of the key practices that are fitting nicely into DevOps development with any FIWARE project.

These are open practices that have been used in the Red Hat Open Innovation Labs Residency resulting in https://github.com/FIWARE-Ops/marinera that we will demonstrate as part of the session.

If you have heard of DevOps, Moebius Loop, agile methodology and other keywords  in that context and would like to join for some practical exercises, this is the right session for you.

You don’t have to already be an expert, you only need the desire to learn together! See the open practice library here: https://openpracticelibrary.com/

This workshop  is open to basically any role, including developers, engineers, manager, product owners and others to learn how open collaboration based on open practice libraries allows faster time to market and evolving FIWARE solutions.

Presenters:
David Hanacek, Software Architect, Red Hat
Stephan Kraft, Software Developer Advocate, Red Hat
