Following its global growth strategy for 2021, FIWARE Foundation has signed a media partnership with publication Renewable Matter to further drive coverage of its initiatives around urban challenges, smarter living and secure data exchange.

More importantly, the partnership brings both organizations to the forefront of the movement that’s adding value to the global smart digital city ecosystem. As part of the collaboration, Renewable Matter will provide media support to ongoing and upcoming FIWARE events and initiatives that are delivering practical solutions to today’s most pressing urban challenges.

Circular Economy is based on strategic and networking partnerships like this one. Together we can boost the ecological transition in Europe and show key examples of how digital is a pillar for circular. I believe we will be able to shape meaningful common activities together across the continent”, said Emanuele Bompan, the publication editor-in-chief and a contributor of the FIWARE Climate Change Booklet

The power of collaborations

Renewable Matter will also allow the FIWARE Community to access insightful content on the latest, cutting-edge innovations and visions for development that puts people and respect for the planet first.

“Following our engagement with Emanuele Bompan during the 2018 Smart City Expo World Congress, we have been engaging with the publication ever since and I am thrilled to see this collaboration further materializing. In the era of mass media, digital channels play a key role in allowing brands to engage with their audiences in a deeper and meaningful manner. And FIWARE is unarguably making the most of such features by partnering with just the right publications to deliver curated content focused on smart solutions and Open Source technologies. In the wake of the European Green Deal, COP26, the United States rejoining the Paris Agreement, we’re looking at a key year for the green and circular economy and Renewable Matter couldn’t have been a better fit.

Furthermore, besides working together on meaningful content curation and events, this partnership will allow our members and partners to further spread ideas, and promote sustainable business models and strategies”, added Cristina Brandtstetter, FIWARE Foundation CMO.

Renewable Matter joins dozens of international news websites, renowned trade publications and news agencies that are part of FIWARE’s long term content marketing strategy aiming to grow its respective audience, further boost its brand credibility as well as delivering compelling content that keeps readers informed and fully engaged with FIWARE’s Open Source tech and common open standards approach.
