This is just the start of a series of workshops and webinars that FIWARE will be organizing throughout the year. Watch this space for more details on upcoming opportunities.

On March 28th the FIWARE Foundation will be hosting a second FIWARE Tech Workshop of 2019 in Berlin, Germany. This free workshop is catered to anyone who wishes to take their know-how of FIWARE to the next level, whether you are familiar with the FIWARE Catalogue or completely new to FIWARE technologies. Spaces are limited, so be sure to register your interest as soon as possible.

Why FIWARE?

FIWARE is market-ready open source software that is gradually growing momentum as the driver of key standards for a faster, easier and cheaper development of IoT enabled smart solutions and systems in different domains. The FIWARE Foundation’s main focus is Smart Cities, Smart Agrifood, Smart Industry, and Smart Energy.

The core FIWARE component is the Context Broker, which has been adopted by the European Commission as one of the Connecting Europe Facility (CEF) Building Blocks recommended for creation of Digital Service Infrastructures to be deployed across Europe. In addition, its API (NGSI) has been the basis for a recent standard by ETSI. The workshop will provide a great opportunity to familiarise yourself with FIWARE, the FIWARE Catalogue, and the opportunities that FIWARE technology brings.

In addition, this workshop could be a great starting point if you are looking to run FIWARE workshops or webinars yourself in the near future.
