Climate change is the crisis of our time. FIWARE has a lot to say about CLIMATE – and not only to say.
The FIWARE Community recognizes that climate change is impacting societies, economies, and especially people’s daily lives. Today, we can already proudly present a wide portfolio of very concrete applications and solutions with a direct positive impact on climate change.
In December 2019, Gold Member HOPU co-organized, together with FIWARE Foundation, a workshop at the UN Climate Change Conference COP25 in Madrid to discuss the role of “Urban Decision Making to address SDG Goals and Compliance with Climate Change Mitigation Regulation.”
With 2 interesting forewords from acclaimed book writers Mike Barlow and Cornelia Levy-Bencheton as well as author and water thought leader Monica A. Altamirano, this booklet edition features over 30 ‘off-the-shelf’ disruptive solutions from the FIWARE Community that tackle or minimize the effects of climate change.
In addition, this booklet includes Voices from the Industry, who are, in one way or another, experts in climate change adaptation. This booklet also features further climate initiatives with FIWARE, which you will find after towards the end of the brochure.
