Small Signals provides design & prototyping services for embedded systems and information technologies, developing customized solutions according to the clients requirements.

The Small Signals team designs communication systems for Internet of Things applications. Small Signals is an integral solution in which electronic modules, the cloud data management and the user interface through a mobile phone are developed.

The use of FIWARE technology

Small Signals makes an intense use of FIWARE technologies, organized around three components.

1.    Physical devices, sensors, actuators, energy meters and other off-the-shelf components provide real time information about the current state

2.    Backend system which in­cludes the FIWARE comonents: Publish/Subscribe Context Broker – Orion Context Broker,  Stream-oriented – Kurento, Identity Management – KeyRock ,  Application Mashup – Wirecloud and BigData Analysis – Cosmos;

3.    A mobile application. It is developed using html5 (cordova) and uses several JS frameworks (jquery, jquery-ui, openlayers, flot, etc). No commercial or proprietary components are used, which minimizes risks and lowers the replication price.
