2nd Open Calls of the FIWARE Accelerator Programme: accelerators are already receiving business proposals

Apr 8, 2015

After the enormous success of the first FIWARE open calls, which gathered more than 300 selected projects (from a total of more than 3,000 proposals), a new round of calls has just been opened by FIWARE accelerators. The FIWARE Accelerator Programme is the result of a public-private partnership, co-funded by the European Commission. Thanks to it, a total amount of 80 million euros is being delivered among the most innovative and scalable business projects using FIWARE and making the most of the new digital opportunities.

Which accelerators are already receiving proposals?

IMPACT Accelerator launches its second €2.5 Million Open Call, which will select around 25 European start-ups with innovative ideas and projects based on FIWARE technology related to the Mobile Internet. The Open Call will remain open until April 30th. Applications must be submitted through the Funding Box Platform:  www.fundingbox.com/p/impact-accelerator/

EuropeanPioneers starts the second round of funding, in which 13 start-ups and SMEs get the chance to be supported with up to 250,000 Euros. Entrepreneurs in the areas of Smart City Services, Social Connected TV, Pervasive Gaming and E-Learning will receive the fund.  Applications deadline of the second round closes on 22nd June. Interested entrepreneurs can apply through http://www.europeanpioneers.eu or https://www.f6s.com/fiware-europeanpioneers#/apply

Finodex has opened the second call for proposals based on Open Data and FIWARE technologies. SMEs and entrepreneurs who wish to participate in this occasion will have time to present their projects until next June 17th at 5PM (Brussels time). The selected projects will benefit from up to 4.64 million euros. Each selected project may obtain between €10,000 and €170,000 of direct funding.

But these are only some of them. Other accelerators already opened their calls since the beginning of the year, such as FI-Adopt or FInish, which are receiving proposals since mid-March. Find more information or submit your project in https://www.fiware.org/accelerators/
