Deep Dive: Climate, Green & Circular Economy
Paving the Way for a More Sustainable Future with Open Source Innovation
We are living in the most exciting and challenging time that we, as humans, have ever seen. While the greatest innovations are being realized, climate change and other environmental issues continue to rank among the most pressing challenges modern society is facing today.
In the battle for a more sustainable and greener planet, open source technology demonstrates a strong commitment to sharing knowledge and data freely, setting common standards, and fostering innovation and sustainable economic growth. The FIWARE Community fully endorses the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and is observing a growing number of projects that combine open source design with sustainability, creating game-changing solutions to combat climate change and support the transition towards an inclusive, equitable green and circular economy.
This Deep Dive session on “Climate, Green & Circular Economy” will bring together experts in the field to discuss how open source technology contributes to the ability and speed to address urgent challenges and the needs of society as a whole, thereby moving away from a linear economy and towards eco-effectiveness. Through keynotes and expert speeches, as well as use cases, the FIWARE Community will showcase how it is contributing to a greener planet, driving climate action and sustainability, cross-industry, with an unprecedented open source approach.
