Datenplattformen im Kontext Smart City
About the Event
Two major trends, increasing urbanization on the one hand and digital transformation on the other, pose new challenges for municipalities, but also offer opportunities to break new ground.
The challenges facing municipalities are many and varied. For example, the urbanization of society is increasing the demands on the infrastructure in metropolitan areas, which is often not designed for this purpose. This ranges from traffic (parking management, navigation) to water/energy (municipal utilities, self-sufficient energy suppliers), health care for an aging society, and citizen-oriented, digital administration. On a technological level, many challenges of urbanization can already be solved. However, the implementation of sustainable business concepts in the smart city of the future often fails today due to a large number of relevant stakeholders and the market entry hurdles that are sometimes associated with this.
SIG Smart Cities is addressing these issues in a working group.
Data platforms serve as a basis for solving these challenges. Look forward to an exciting insight and discussion on the topic of data platforms in the context of smart cities.
FIWARE Foundation CEO Ulrich Ahle will present “Offene Standards für Smart Cities in Deutschland” from 17:10-17:25 (CEST).
